Although browsers are primarily intended to use the World Wide Web, they can also be used to access information provided by\u00a0web servers\u00a0in\u00a0private networks\u00a0or files in\u00a0file systems.<\/p>\n

The major web browsers are\u00a0Google Chrome,\u00a0Mozilla Firefox,\u00a0Internet Explorer,\u00a0Opera, and\u00a0Safari.
